Demetra Valente is co-owner of Smiles from Ear to Hear, a healthcare clinic that specializes in hearing, dentures & sleep since 1999. She is a Hearing Instrument Practitioner and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

Ms. Valente is an enthusiastic volunteer who has supported many and varied organizations and has sponsored and attended multiple hearing missions globally. In addition she most recently served as a Director of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario Board (AHIP), is a member of the International Hearing Society (IHS) and served on the Hearing Health Alliance of Canada Advisory Board.

Ms. Valente previously enjoyed a rewarding career as a financial services executive within the regulatory compliance realm where her mandate was to interpret, apply and lobby to shape regulation, develop compliance policies and training in areas such as Governance, Privacy, Anti-Money Laundering, Security and Complaints Handling.

Ms. Valente earned a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Toronto, the Hearing Aid Practitioner diploma from Grant MacEwan University and the Health Coaching diploma from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

Ms. Valente is an avid reader, enjoys travel and theatre.
